Children’s Services Providers

Storm works alongside Children's Services Providers to provide bespoke homes for children and young people who have experienced neglect, abuse and trauma. Local Authorities

Storm works with local authorities in a number of ways:

Commissioners:

Estates team:
Storm can work in partnership with local authorities purchase or develop existing sites to help meet demand using our own funds. This includes:

  • Regeneration projects - Storm can manage the end to end process of large scale regeneration projects, working alongside it's best in class partner planning & regeneration consultants, national housebuilders, housing associations and institutional investors; and
  • Development of dilapidated housing stock.

Registered Providers

Storm works closely with Registered Providers in the following ways:
Joint Venture Partner:

  • Joint Venture development partners - providing turnkey affordable accommodation;
  • Purchase of S106 disposals; and
  • Specialist Supported Housing Developments.
Management of Affordable Housing:
Registered Providers that are looking to expand their housing portfolios tend to partner with Storm. Storm's Affordable Housing model alleviates council housing waiting lists without the need for additional borrowing. RPs help Storm by managing their stock for a fee. Due to Storm’s institutional financial backing, the time-consuming procurement process associated with building new homes is eliminated for the RP. This provides a greater opportunity to grow safely whilst meeting the needs of the local authorities and the local community. In addition Storm will be actively bringing sites and opportunities to the Partner RP saving the RP site finder and due diligence fees. The number of managing RPs is growing. This is because more and more RPs are realising the benefits of managing stock rather than owning it. The benefits include not having large upfront payments to buy stock and having the flexibility to end agreements or leases when the stock becomes older. This allows the RP to always manage newer stock to improve both the tenant experience and keep maintenance costs low.

Housebuilders

We work closely with Housebuilders in the following ways:
Joint Venture Partner:

  • Regeneration projects - Storm partners with large housebuilders to jointly regenerate areas in line with the local authorities strategic aims; and
  • Purchase of S106 disposals.

As many of our developments require specialist sector specific knowledge. We partner with architects and consultants that are experts in their niche to ensure that we gain a competitive advantage on all sites. Projects include:
