SUPPORTED LIVING

Middlewich

Middlewich – 17 Self-contained apartments with staff and communal space (In Progress)
Working in partnership with:

  • Cheshire East Council;
  • Independence Support .

Middlewich supported living will provide support for up to 17 people across two blocks who hold their own tenancy in self-contained apartments. We support people to develop confidence and skills to enable people to achieve their goals and move on to more independent settings.

This accommodation primarily supports people with mental health needs, who may also need support in other areas of life. This contributes to local objectives of supporting people closer to home in local communities, staying connected with family, friends, and other local support networks through the provision of good quality accommodation and support.

The team has specialist experience in mental health, dual diagnosis, and complex needs.

These modern apartments have been fitted with CCTV cameras and assistive technology to provide the perfect solution to the needs of the residents. The scheme benefits from proximity to local amenities and public transport as well as a communal garden for the residents to enjoy.

Personal pendants and lifeline units have been installed in each apartment that allows voice control through to the care provider’s office as well as an on-site carers handheld device.

Storm Property’s apartments feature whole-house technology systems based on assessed residents’ needs. Working closely with the partners listed above, we ensure that the infrastructure of the scheme can support a range of people from the moment they move in and for years into the future. Once a resident’s needs have been assessed, the success of the technology is monitored and adjusted where necessary.
