DEVELOPMENTS

Supported Housing, Carehomes & ExtraCare

Storm Property works with local authorities, care providers, housing associations and commissioners to develop bespoke housing designed to meet the needs of, and create better outcomes for, the UK’s most vulnerable people. Our focus is to the future, specifically to allowing people to move towards independence within it.
Our knowledge of the care sector is what makes us stand out from the crowd. By understanding the difficulties currently faced by care professionals and the importance of finding the right home for residents, we ensure that our developments are uniquely tailored, superior quality homes that empower independence and happy living.

All of our developments are unique and have been developed to suit the individual needs of vulnerable people. Our fundamental principle at Storm Property is ensuring that all of our people are provided high quality housing. All of our properties are renovated to ensure the highest health and safety standards.

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

Storm Property’s apartments feature whole house technology systems based on assessed residents’ needs.

Working closely with local authorities, we ensure that the infrastructure of each scheme can support a range of people from the moment they move in and for years into the future.

Once a resident’s needs have been assessed, the success of the technology is monitored and adjusted where necessary.

THE TECHNOLOGY

Aimed at enriching lives and providing safety and independence, here is just some of the technology which residents can benefit from:

  • Telecare sensors which manage risks, such as fire, flood or gas leaks
  • Sensors which alert staff if the resident may have fallen
  • Aids to support bathing and toileting
  • Medical and therapeutic products
  • Environmental sensors to control curtains, heating and lighting
  • Personal pendants which enable them to request assistance
  • Epilepsy sensors which reduce/remove the need to night-time checks
  • Access control and automatic door openers
  • Cognition and communication aids
  • Wi-Fi and VOIP telephony
